In My Mailbox

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by The Story Siren. It's a post where we share the books we've received this past week for review, borrowed from friends or the library, received as a gift, bought, or received to giveaway. We've posted what we've received for Mundie Moms here

From HarperCollins-
* The Magnificent 12, The Call by Michael Grant
* Jingle Dancer by Cynthia Leitich Smith

From Scholastic-
* Hope Is An Open Heart by Lauren Thompson (Help For Haiti edition)
* Eight Days, A Story of Haiti by Edwidge Danticat, pictures by Alix Delinois
* 39 Clues Book 10: Into The Gauntlet by Margaret Peterson Haddix (we will be hosting a giveaway for this)

From Frances Lincoln Publishers-
* A Walk In The Woods by Lis Jones, Illustrated by Jim Coplestone
* Patrick Paints A Picture by Saviour Pirotta, Illustrated by Linzi West
* In The Dark of The Night by Paul Steward, Illustrated by Tim Vyner

Thank you to Harper Collins, Cynthia Leitich Smith, Scholastic and Frances Lincoln Publishers, for this weeks wonderful reads.

  1. My students love the 39 Clues series. They'll be sorry to see it end.

  2. It's sad it's ending, but I've heard they might be doing a spin off series (not sure if that rumor is true). When we post our review for Book 10, we'll be giving a copy of it away.

I would be most content if my children grew up to be the kind of people who think decorating consists mostly of building enough bookshelves. ~ Anna Quindlen

Good children's literature appeals not only to
the child in the adult, but to the adult in the child.
