  2. Hmmmm. Is there really a need for an illustrated edition? I'm not sure as the first book had enough illustrations for my taste. I like to leave something for the imagination. Thanks for telling me about this though.

  3. Oh, my. Let me guess: big, thick and expensive? But I do like what little they're showing us of the illustrations. Is it only being released in the UK right now?

And oh my word! Did you see the Deluxe edition? Vastly expensive but so, so gorgeous-looking!

  4. Sigh. My younger daughter will be wanting this for Christmas. She would LOVE to see even more illustrations, even though I'm with Rosi. The one tiny picture of Anne on the cover of my copy of Green Gables was plenty for me!

I would be most content if my children grew up to be the kind of people who think decorating consists mostly of building enough bookshelves. ~ Anna Quindlen

Good children's literature appeals not only to
the child in the adult, but to the adult in the child.
