Beatrice Zinker, Upside Down Thinker By Shelley Johannes / Spotlight + Giveaway #BeatriceZinker #UpsideDownThinker

We're thrilled to team up with Disney-Hyperion to introduce our readers to a brand new character, who's book, BEATRICE ZINKER, Upside Down Thinker by Shelley Johannes, was just recently released.

Like Beatrice, we think that sometimes the best way to solve a problem is do it upside down. Have you ever tried standing on your hands to solve a problem? It may not help you think better, but it does make you laugh. If you like thinking outside the box, or maybe upside down in a box, you'll like getting to know Beatrice.

To celebrate this brand new MG book, we're teaming up with Disney to not only introduce our readers to Beatrice's story, we've got a copy of the book to giveaway to one lucky reader! To find out more, please keep reading this post, and don't forget to enter to win (at the end of this post).

Beatrice does her best thinking upside down.

Hanging from trees by her knees, doing handstands . . . for Beatrice Zinker, upside down works every time. She was definitely upside down when she and her best friend, Lenny, agreed to wear matching ninja suits on the first day of third grade. But when Beatrice shows up at school dressed in black, Lenny arrives with a cool new outfit and a cool new friend. Even worse, she seems to have forgotten all about the top-secret operation they planned!

Can Beatrice use her topsy-turvy way of thinking to save the mission, mend their friendship, and flip things sunny-side up?

  2. I think when I have a hard problem to solve I try to think upside down, or outside of the box. Wish I had more of the creative thinking of someone like Beatrice!

  3. I always try to think of a different way to look at a problem, especially if others have tried solutions that have failed or not worked as well.

  4. "Are you an upside down thinker like Beatrice? If so, how so?" I probably am--but people don't always understand that!

  7. I am kind of an upside down thinker. When I get stuck on something I have to walk away from it and take a look at it in a different way.

I would be most content if my children grew up to be the kind of people who think decorating consists mostly of building enough bookshelves. ~ Anna Quindlen

the child in the adult, but to the adult in the child.
