Thank you to Disney Hyperion for providing an arc of this book in exchange for my honest review

"NOOOOOOO! I don’t want to go to the pool. What if . . . the water is too cold?” says Holly.

Holly the hippo imagines the worst: icebergs and icy water, penguins and seals! Her imagination bursts at every turn, making it harder and harder for her to step foot in the pool.
Until she get the chance to be a hero. Holly may be scared, but she is a very brave girl.
The perfect summer read. Holly is one brave hippo. Especially when it comes to helping her sister. When she's starts imagining all the things that can be scary at the pool, nothing her father says can reassure her it will be fine, and fun. That is until Holly's sister needs her help, and Holly bravely faced her fears without a second though. While Holly was at first scared, she quickly realizes how fun visiting the pool is. Especially when she's got her friends and family there with her.

Holly's Day At The Pool is exactly what I excepted from the Walt Disney animation studio. It's encouraging, cute story paired with the perfect artist blend of classic Disney illustrations will bring a smile to your face. No matter how old you are, you'll enjoy reading Holly's story. Perfect for summer reading, this is one adorable picture young readers will enjoy.

I would be most content if my children grew up to be the kind of people who think decorating consists mostly of building enough bookshelves. ~ Anna Quindlen

Good children's literature appeals not only to
the child in the adult, but to the adult in the child.
